Summary

The Comprehensive Cancer Center is a two-story, 58,650-square-foot medical building at 4051 Broad Street, at the corner of Broad Street and Tank Farm Road in San Luis Obispo. French Hospital Medical Center, Dignity Health's Central Coast oncology services and local physician groups are developing it to bring cancer care together in one building: diagnostic imaging, medical oncology, hematology, infusion, radiation oncology, general and oncology surgery, urology and French Hospital's Hearst Cancer Resource Center. Partner groups named by the foundation include Urology Associates of the Central Coast, Associated Surgeons of SLO, Pacific Central Coast Health Centers and SLO Oncology and Hematology. It is separate from the French Hospital campus expansion on Johnson Avenue.

Construction was announced in February 2025 to begin that spring, with an opening then expected in spring 2026. The foundation's project page now says construction began in late 2025 and is expected to be complete by late 2026, with the center opening in early 2027. Its May 2026 update reported the interior framed with drywall going up in places, and its July 2026 update reported the MRI slab poured and framing of the MRI and CT rooms about to start.

One tenant is already operating: Advanced Radiation Therapeutics says it is open and treating patients in suite 120 at 4051 Broad Street, entered from Tank Farm Road. That does not mean the whole center is open; the other services were still under construction according to the foundation's 2026 updates.
